Dr. Patrick Irungu Muiruri
- Dr. Patrick Irungu Muiruri is a lecturer in the department of Mechanical Engineering, at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
- He holds a doctorate degree of philosophy in Engineering from the University of Botswana in 2019. He graduated with a BSc and MSc in Aircraft Design Engineering from National research University formally known as Samara State Aerospace University in Russia in 2009.
- Dr. Patrick is a scholar and mentor in Engineering. His areas of interest in research are Aeronautics, Aerodynamic, Modelling and Simulation and Engineering Design.
- He is a registered graduate engineer by Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK). Currently Dr Patrick is engaged in the development of rocketry both solid Rocket and Liquid Rocket besides teaching, which target to carry payload to lower orbit, under NAKUJA –Project, JKUAT.
- He is an instrumental in guiding and supervising the interns/students in this project of designing Rocket. Dr Patrick was also involved in redesign and testing of an improved cooking stove with aim to reduce emission and make kitchen safer place for the user.
- Dr Patrick has supervised a number of MSc. students in mechanical engineering to their completion, and others ongoing MSc. and Phd students.
