  • She is currently the Africa Continental Coordinator working at the NASA/ SERVIR Science CoordinationOffice in Huntsville. (SERVIR is a joint initiative of NASA and USAID with several implementing Hubs inAfrica, Americas, South East Asia and the Himalaya).
  • Her key role is to oversee all the activities related toscience for development across multiple SERVIR hubs and projects in Africa. She was prior to this, the Regional Coordinator for the AfriGEO Secretariat based at the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (AfriGEO is a regional initiative of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) that supports member states (33) and participating organizations (10) interests and benefits to leverage Earth Observations in addressing development challenges).
  • In her 11 years (2012-2023) at RCMRD managed several regional projects as the lead for land cover and land use, projects such as the COMESA Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency Frameworks supporting 4 countries, GEO Land Degradation Neutrality, Systems for Land based Emissions Estimation in Kenya (SLEEK) just to mention. She led several land cover mapping efforts in ten countries that saw her get recognition as top 50 rising stars in 2022 by the Geospatial World Forum.
  • She has also participated as an Advisory Committee member of Digital Earth Africa; she’s been a board member of the EO for Africa Research and Development Facility and has contributed to the GEO Equality, Diversity and Inclusion subgroup since its formulation.
  • She also supported the implementation of the Africa Earth Observation Challenge (2021-2023).
