- Meshack is a space system engineering graduate of Florida Institute of Technology.
- He is the training Officer on Space Applications and Emerging Technologies at the African Union Commission overseeing the institutional and human capacity development of the Global Monitoring for the Environment and Security in Africa (GMES & Africa)-a continental project in Earth Observation (EO) with a network of over 120 National and Regional institutions.
- He is a champion of integrating ICT with EO in areas like virtualization and cloud computing to increase data access. Under his leadership, GMES & Africa has trained over 10,000 scientists and decision makers, granted over 130 Masters and PhD scholarships in space applications, created an operational Network of Academia, developed a Digital Learning Platform with dozens of courses in EO, and positioned private sector to enhance EO services palatable to the end-users.
- Meshack is further acknowledged for his pivotal role in defining the African Outer Space Programme, and subsequent establishment of the African Space Agency.
- Meshack is a member of two study groups of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA): Study Group 4.19 on Promoting Global Space Knowledge and Expertise in Developing Countries, and IAA SG 4.26 on Cubesat Interface. He is an Alumnus of The Lindau Nobel Laureates Programme in Physics, and a Graduate and instructor of the Cansat Leader Training Program (CLTP).
