- Dr. Boitt is the current Director of the Centre of Spatial Information Science and Systems - CSISS (2021- to date) at DeKUT. He is a member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) and a member of the Environment Institute of Kenya (EIK).
- Dr. Boitt teaches Geomatics, GIS and Remote Sensing. He also performs research in areas of Hyperspectral imaging, Remote Sensing applications in Land Use Land Cover Assessments, Agriculture, Environment, Urban Planning and in Natural Resource Mapping & Predictive Modeling. He has published several peer reviewed papers in the areas mentioned.
- He is a consultant in Engineering Surveying, GIS, and EIA in partnership with other consultants. His passion is seeing emerging technologies being integrated in mapping for solution-driven tasks.
