- Kizito is the Founder & CEO of agriBORA. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering & Information Technology from Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany, and a Certified Public Accountant certificate from Strathmore University, Kenya. Prior to launching agriBORA, he spearheaded Kedo Solutions Ltd, a transformative social enterprise in Kenya's Homa Bay County, collaborating with over 1,000 smallholder soybean farmers to pioneer soybean processing for rural nutrition.
- His acclaimed innovation at agriBORA, driving data-driven smallholder agriculture, has garnered global recognition and support from prestigious organizations like the World Bank, World Food Programme, European Space Agency (ESA), VivaTech, and the European Commission's Satellite Programme Copernicus.
- He is the winner of the 2022 Africa Earth Observation Challenge and the Digital Earth Africa Industry Challenge. Kizito has been instrumental in conceiving and implementing agri-tech solutions in Kenya, redefining interactions and transactions between smallholder farmers and their business partners to foster accessibility and affordability.
- Recognizing the digital divide in the global south, Kizito has adeptly directed business and tech teams to create a platform that balances technology and human touch. This approach ensures that even farmers equipped with basic feature phones and lacking internet access can harness disruptive technologies, thus advancing food security in Africa for current and future generations.
