- Kenneth Mwangi holds a Master of Science degree in Remote Sensing and Geospatial Information, and Bachelors Soil, Water and Environment Engineering. He has over 14 years of experience in using satellite data for monitoring the environment, forests and protected areas, agriculture monitoring for early warning.
- Kenneth is currently the Regional Lead for Sustainable Improvement of Food Productivity supporting the WRI Africa through developing research strategies to address food security, regenerative agriculture and restoration of crop areas in Africa.
- Kenneth was previously working as Climate Monitoring and Early Warning Expert at the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) spearheading the technical implementation of transboundary pests early warning platform and supporting development of geo-information tools for Agriculture and Environmental Monitoring at the IGAD. Kenneth has also worked with NASA Harvest offering operation and project management support in development and testing of innovations for field level crop monitoring in East Africa.
- Kenneth has worked in various capacities at Regional Centre for Mapping of resources for Development (RCMRD) and NAVTEQ-Nokia Location and Commerce.
