Makokha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Informatics and Computing at Taita Taveta University, involved in training, mentorship, supervision, research and outreach. He is a geospatial solutions and environment and water resource management expert with years of experience in carrying out research, teaching and offering advice on various environmental and water-related issues.
Makokha comes with expertise in providing timely and quality information and technical advice on nationally and internationally led spatial biophysical and climate-related initiatives and processes, undertaking relevant analytics and research, as required, and preparing knowledge materials on the environment and water-related initiatives and, more broadly those implemented by the Environment and Climate Cluster.
He is experienced in managing projects, monitoring and evaluating projects, identifying operational challenges, and developing solutions.
