- Dr.-Ing Anthony Kiroe is a lecturer of Physics in the department of Physics of the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
- He has sixteen years of experience teaching basic and applied Physics with interests in thermodynamics, microelectronics, instrumentation, space platforms, and GNSS meteorology.
- In his classes of instrumentation and control, Dr. Kiroe guides his undergraduate students through CanSat projects starting from system design to integration and with missions ranging from measurement of atmospheric parameters (pressure, temperature, humidity, etc.) that influence weather to technological experiments.
- This way students get a feel of what it takes to design, implement, and launch a satellite system, and they also get interested in space science and technology, thereby contributing towards capacity building efforts towards this end.
- Dr. Kiroe is also involved in research in the effects of the troposphere on the GNSS signals and GNSS meteorology, where he is guiding graduate students.
