- Ir. Buoga, Jared Omondi is a GIS and Remote Sensing expert with bias in Natural Resources Management, development and climate change governance.
- He is a graduate from Egerton University in Natural Resource Management, and Master of Science in Climate Science and Geo-information Science and Earth Observation for Natural Resources Management from University of Nairobi and ITC – University of Twente, The Netherlands, respectively. He also has training on sustainability from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich – Switzerland, under the auspices of Alliance for Global Sustainability (AGS).
- Mr, Buoga is endowed with over 15 years of practice experience in strategies for sustainable development and application of GIS and remote sensing in management of rangeland ecosystems, both at local and regional level and at international parlance.
- His focus is natural resource conflict mapping and management, pasture resilience, community empowerment within a healthy environment, geospatial analysis and use of GIS and earth observation in natural resource development planning and development, climate change, energy issues, livelihood programming, gender mainstreaming, and HIV/AIDS. He has consulted for EU funded projects, Global Rangelands Initiatives among others.
- Currently serves as a State Director at the State Department of Housing and Urban Development overseeing the delivery of Affordable Housing Program.
